I have been boxing for at least 3, if not 4 years now, and have been using the half training gloves. These are the ones that are covered over the back of your hands, and then you put your fingers, and thumbs in the loops at the front. These were fine, until I started working with my trainer, Ryan.
That is why I bought the Sanabul Essential GEL Boxing Kickboxing Training Gloves. The reason I chose these are that they are for women, and come in 8, 10, and 12 ounce. I went with the 12 ounce as I already pack a punch. I wanted a good quality boxing glove, at a budget price. These were originally $39.99, and down to $25.99. Just be aware that when I looked at the silver ones, they were down to $29.99, so you need to check individually when you go onto Amazon.
From the website: ‘ Performance Engineered Leather construction. High quality and durable material is easier to clean and maintain
- Gel Impact Protection Foam. Gel infused foam provides superb protection and softness to help prevent injury to your hands while training. Longitudinal Arch Design. Constructed to fit the natural curvature of the hand for proper fist closure while striking’.
They secure with Velcro for a tight fit. I also like the mesh palm, that helps to keep the hands cooler. They still get hot, due to the 72 inch wraps I use under them.
I am happy with these gloves that I paid full price for. However, I am always looking to try other gloves, to check and make a comparison.
