I ordered a new laptop on Amazon Tuesday. It is being delivered today. If it had come via the U.S.P.S. it would have been here this morning. However, it is coming via UPS, and they usually come between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
We have friends moving back up north, and were planning on going to the F.O.E. tonight. The problem is, that too many parcels get stolen nowadays. We pretty much see it on the news every day.
It will be dark, when they leave it, so have no option but to stay home. Excited about the laptop, but disappointed that we can’t say ‘Goodbye’ to friends of more than 12 years.
Do you have these parcel thieves that come right up to your door? What has this world come too, when we can’t trust people to be honest.

We ordered an HTC Vive Virtual Reality system that was supposed to be delivered by Fed Ex. We waited for it and it got marked as delivered, but it wasn’t. I called FedEx to complain and that night a guy showed up with it opened up and said it got delivered to his place on accident. It was odd. I am glad it ended up turning up, but still a nerve-wracking experience when money and technology is involved. I hope your laptop arrives quickly. I’m sorry you have to miss your friend 😦

Around Christmas, it’s really bad as thieves will follow the delivery trucks. I’ve heard of people having packages and mail taken out of their mailboxes (we have rural style mailboxes). I’m always paranoid when I send something and don’t hear anything back because of this.
It’s a shame you had to miss your friends.

I don’t know what I’d be most annoyed at. Being prat enough for leaving my laptop in a theivable place or having a hug forced on me ugh!

Sad world that people think they have the right to take other people’s property. I have had other people’s packages delivered to my house twice. First time I knew the neighbor and brought packages to her. Second time I called UPS to let them know they delivered to wrong address so they could bring to correct address because I didn’t know the people. Happy you got to say goodbye to your friends and enjoy your New laptop.
