A new year, and a fresh start

It’s really interesting to me to look back on older posts. This one at the beginning of 2017, was about Len’s health issues. Although we haven’t managed the river walk, he is doing a little bit at the gym, 2 to 3 times a week.


I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but do look to try to improve mine, and my husband’s lives.

With all his health issues it is not easy, but now the temperatures are a little cooler in Florida, I am going to try and get him to walk a little more.  With neuropathy of the feet, it is not easy.

We have a beautiful river walk, downtown, and that is where we need to start.  As you know I workout at the gym everyday, but now I need to concentrate on getting Len moving a little more.  The podiatrist said that it is the only way to help his feet.

What plans do you have for the New Year?

  1. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions but I have stepped up my walking game. Following some of the recommendations I found on YouTube I’ve gone from 6000 Steps a day to usually 10,000 Steps daily.

    Excluding the ice, snow and sleet from winter once spring arrived I was able to increase my Steps and distance. This morning being a holiday and a day off from work I did an Early Morning Walk. Got up around 6am, fed my 🐈 cat Sylvester and was out and about by 6:50am. I was able to achieve over 10,000 Steps before 10am. I also took lots of pictures.
