I drove us home from Treasure Island, as hubby wanted to leave a day early. We got in just in time to watch the Wolves against City match.
In the first 12 minutes, the Manchester City goalkeeper received a straight red card, for a foul that prevented a possible goal. So they played with 10 men.
In the 25th minute City got a penalty. Sterling took it, and it was saved by the goalkeeper. However, it was taken ago, because of players encroaching into the penalty area. Sterling took it again. It was saved a second time, but it came back to him, and their first goal was scored.
In the second half Sterling scored a second goal, and we all thought that’s it. City will go into second place in the Premier League.
Wolves had other plans, because they scored in the 55th, 82nd, and 90th minutes. They had 20 shots, compared to 7, and 62% of the possession.
So with a 3 – 2 win to Wolves, Manchester City stayed in 3rd place, and Wolves went up to 5th. Well done Wolves.
