I need to get that smile back on my face.

For this optimistic, inspirational women, I am finding life kind of tough right now.

It’s 9.40 and hubby is still in bed.  He got up at 3 to go to the toilet, and then just after 4 with a sugar low.  He was so disorientated that he couldn’t do a sugar reading.  I have orange juice in individual boxes, with straws, and managed to get him to drink a little.  I then opened the packet of McVitie’s chocolate biscuits I bought for myself, and forced him to eat 2, and the rest of the orange juice.  By then it was almost 5, and I couldn’t get back to sleep.  Hubby is catching up, and I have no idea when he will wake up.  It’s 10 days of him not feeling well now, so can’t wait for his doctor’s visit.

I am monitoring his sugar at night, and have reduced the amount of insulin he takes.  It just doesn’t make sense to me, but I will keep trying until the 18th, and then take the results to his doctor.  I, of course, attend all his doctor’s visits.

  1. Awe, tough road taking care of loved ones with health problems. Stay strong! Praying he will get better. As we age things just don’t stay the same, making day to day very challenging. Prayers to you and your hubby! 🙏❤️😥

  2. So sorry! Yes, the insulin intake sometimes must be reduced dependent on what the patient is eating, their weight etc. Managing sugar lows from insulin is difficult to say the least! Sending loving thoughts and prayers!
