Last week we picked up a Whopper, and ate it on a seat by the river, in Sims Park. We really didn’t enjoy it that much, because it wasn’t moist, and way too much bread, which I gave to the birds.
This week I went through the Wendy’s drive-through, and bought 3 jr. cheeseburgers. Being seniors, and having bought their key tags at the beginning of the year, we got a free coffee, diet coke, and 2 kid’s size chocolate Frosties.
I then drove us to Sims park, where we sat in the car with the windows down, and ate our lunch. The burgers were fresh, tasted good, and we really enjoyed this experience.
This will be a new weekly ‘normal’ for us, while we still have Coronavirus restrictions. 290 calories for a sandwich is perfect for me.
Glad you could get out. I have never been a fan of BK. Wendys is OK, but A & W is still my favourite. Enjoy the outings Susie. Allan

I love those frostys. I live about 10 minutes from Wendys and every other day, I go through the drive through to get a small chocolate frosty. It is a real mood lifter!
