If you live in a state where Phase 1 is in place, you may be able to eat in restaurants with restrictions. I did a post on Monday, as to how happy we were with Ruby Tuesdays, and how safe we felt.
Today I wanted to take hubby out, but didn’t want to eat a meal, so tried fast food restaurants. I kept trying Burger King, and once it got to a minute, the fax noise came on. Then I tried Wendy’s. The one on U.S.19 never picked up, so I tried the one on S.R.54, They answered, and said that they are only doing drive through, and pick up via drive through.
I had seen that Denny’s were open, so I phoned them. I asked how busy they were, and would we be seated straight away? (25% seating) She told me, ‘Yes’ we would be able to eat straight away.
There were 2 cars in the parking area. We were asked if we wanted a booth or table, and we had a booth, with no one near us. I told her we didn’t want menus. They had their regular ones, not paper ones, and I was not going to touch them.
Our silverware came in bags, with extra napkins. As soon as I had placed the order, I went into the bathroom, and washed my hands in hot water for 30 seconds. I brought out 2 extra pieces of brown paper for both hubby, and myself. I could use these to open a door, and put on the table around us.
Hubby had the special slam, 2 eggs, 4 sausages, hash browns, and 2 pancakes for $5.99. I went for the Value slam that I always have, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, and 2 pancakes. We both had water.
As you can see in the photo, no bottles of syrup, but individual packets. The food was great, and I brought half of my pancakes home.
Denny’s did a good job on keeping us safe. The only thing I didn’t like was the full laminated menus. No way would I handle them.
