When I got up this morning, and checked the Sunday morning football/soccer on television, it was an old match, Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspurs. At halftime it was 1 – 1. In the second half Andy Cole scored a second for United.
I am not sure what year this was played, but Manchester United had a chance of doing the triple. Prior to this match Arsenal were on top of the Premier league, but are only drawing in their match. If both scores hold, Manchester United will win the league.
Kind of exciting not knowing what year, and who won. I was going to ask ‘Google’, but it’s far more exciting not knowing the answer.
Nice

At last watched some live football thanks to the German league. Yes it was like a training game, but it’s football…

My son has been watching footie from Belarus as they do not have any lockdown. He says that now there are some German matches being played with empty stadiums.

Yep! The year Man U won the treble (Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League). Their current manager was one of the hero players on that squad. It was such an amazing achievement that Alex Ferguson became Sir Alex Ferguson.
