We received our stimulus check yesterday, and as we live in a 55+ community it looks like this is the week that seniors get their $1,200 checks.
Today in our mailbox was a piece of mail from the Internal Revenue Service, but the name, and address was not ours. Luckily it is only a short walk, to deliver this piece of important mail. I would be furious if it had been our stimulus check, and someone had kept it, tore it up, returned it to the I.R.S., or just left it, and done nothing with it.
How incompetent is that. Although we shouldn’t be surprised, here in Florida, when people are still waiting on their unemployment checks. They probably went to the wrong address also!
People’s lives may not actually depend on the cheques getting through but I suspect it’s be damn near a question of survival for some.

That was good of you Susie. Here funds are paid direct to people’s bank accounts on the agreed date.

Makes you wonder why they couldn’t do the same instead of sending a cheque.
