The perfect breakfast.

Oatmeal, or porridge as it is called in England, is a great start to any morning. We make ours with fat free/skimmed milk, and add raisins to it. Cook it for around 5 minutes on the stove top, and it is done. That simple. I always slice half a banana on mine, but unfortunately hubby has high potassium, so isn’t allowed any. It’s a shame as it’s his favorite fruit. It really affects his stage 4 kidney failure.


  1. I like porridge for breakfast but make mine with water. Hubby says it tastes like wallpaper paste so I make his with milk.


  2. I make a batch in the InstantPot and have for the whole week. I like raisins in it. Bananas are high carbs too for your hubby so another reason to leave them out. But oatmeal is a slow release carb so super healthy for all diabetics. I try to get my son to eat it.
