Sometimes my faith is put to the test. (This was written 4 years ago, and my husband is still with me.)

My husband should have died 22 years ago when he had 2 massive heart attacks and quintuple bypass surgery.  He then went onto insulin, as he has been diabetic 42 years.  He has had 5 stents, now has a pacemaker/defibrillator, tacky-brady, atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, high cholesterol,…

Sometimes my faith is put to the test

  1. I understand this. We have had nothing but illness, disaster, and terrible times since the age of 64. I got cancer in 2013 and went through chemo only to be left blind, wheelchair bound, no feeling in hands, feet, face and mouth and legs, with breathing problems and pain. My husband who is also wheelchair bound looks after me. He is ill too, with post polio syndrome, diabetes, lung issues, and other things. We have beenn married for 52 years. We are both 72. Life is hard. It is only my faith that gets me through. Tested, yes, but coming forth as gold.
