Anxiety caught up with me this morning.

Hubby has the news on most of the day, and with Florida’s death rate increasing this past week, I can’t help but let it get to me.

Last night I struggled to get to sleep. We have a Himalayan Salt Lamp on, so I am not in darkness, and our bed in at almost upright position to prevent hubby from coughing. I started coughing, and my back was itching, so I got up to put some Aloe Vera on it. I finally fell asleep at 1.30 a.m.

Then I woke up at 7 and couldn’t get back to sleep. I got up, and went into the bathroom, where I felt the heat, and the lightheaded, as if I was going to pass out. I took my anxiety/panic disorder meds, and did deep breathing. I had the upset stomach, and diarrhea, and continued with my deep breathing.

Finally I put phone on, and went into Facebook, and came here. I now feel much calmer, and know that my coping skills always work for me.

So off to the gym to do my lifting in Body Pump.

  1. Thinking of you, must be incredibly anxiety provoking with the situation you’re in. You’re strong though and you’ll keep fighting. Best wishes to you and your husband 🧡

  2. Hang in there dear friend! Oh my, anxiety is horrible and can really take over, so good you were able to get past the worst of it. Stay strong and hugs from California! 💖

  3. Tough to remain calm in the face of current world events. Glad you were able to cope. I managed a bit more sleep last night. Not really anxious, but obviously just as disturbed as the news cycle is. Stay well Susie. Allan

  4. Things certainly are anxiety inducing right now but thankfully you’ve got a solid grasp on looking after yourself inside and out. Glad to hear your day got a little better.
