While America figures this all out, I’m going to continue holding doors for strangers, letting people cut in front of me in traffic, saying good morning, being patient with a waiter, and smiling at strangers, as often as I am provided the opportunity. Because I will not stand idly by and let children live in a world where unconditional love is invisible. Join me in showing love and respect to someone who may not necessarily deserve it. Find your own way to swing the pendulum in the direction of love. ❤️
Because today, sadly; hate is winning. Positivity has to start somewhere and love overpowers hate.
It reminded me of my Aldi shopping trip. I had completed it, and was returning my cart. There was a young (I would say in his 30’s) on the ground with a dog. Sweat pouring off of him. He didn’t say a word, or ask me for anything. I said do you like yogurt, and some fruit? He replied yes Ma’am, but you don’t have to.
I went back to my car, and took these items out. I apologized that I didn’t have anything for his dog. I handed him the quarter I had taken out of the cart. Not much, but small acorns turn into oak trees.
What a wonderful post and it is timeless Susie.
