Florida’s numbers are improving, but still have a long way to go.

At least once a day I watch Spectrum Bay News 9, to get the latest update on the Coronavirus. The numbers are coming down slowly, but certainly not what we are praying for.

There were 204 deaths, and even though this number may not be totally accurate, it means that if it continues we will hit the 10,000 deaths in the next 3 or 4 days. This is the number that really hurts.

Also, our overall percent positive number is 13.53%. This needs to come down to below 10% to make me feel a little happier. Yes, it is frustrating not to be able to go dancing, once a week that was our evening outing, but we have to deal with it.

I am pleased that we are not totally quarantined. I would totally loose it if I couldn’t get to the gym 7 mornings a week. That keeps me sane.

What is the one thing you miss doing, or the one thing that you are able to do now? I would love to hear what really matters to you.

  1. I miss normal, and Canada (population 38,000,000) has only had 121,889 and 9,024 deaths cases since this began. Current cases country wide are only 4,647, but numbers are again beginning to move up in our area. What worries me most about what I am seeing in the U.S. is that recovery cases are still barely above 50T of total cases. Not sure if this is just reporting or? In any case, we all have to create our own normal according to our comfort level and I am thankful to be retired. Stay active and stay well Susie. Allan

  2. I miss our usual social dancing, Susie. There’s nothing quite like being with friends and dancing, enjoying the music, the fun, the laughs.

However, I’m learning to do the Latin dances – Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble, at home. Now that will be fun to do when we return to the social dances. Lots to look forward to.
