Brighton had 15 shots on goal, and 5 hit the woodwork without going in. They were far superior in the first half.
They scored first, and then an own goal from Brighton put them level. United had around 25 minutes of good play in the second half, and went in the lead.
Brighton equalized, and they deserved a draw. The whistle blew for full time, and we were jumping up and down for joy.
United were saying hand ball in the penalty area. The referee checked on the VAR screen, and awarded Manchester united a penalty. This was played 10 minutes after regular time. Added time was to be 5 minutes. I have never seen this happen before.
If the referee blows for full-time the match should be over.
By the skin of our teeth! 😯 It was a thoroughly entertaining match, though, and the two teams meet again on Wednesday for an EFL Cup match. ⚽

Since the offence happened before the final whistle went off, the referee was well within his rights to award a penalty to United n
