What a great family television series. I watched it when we lived in England many moons ago.
We saw it on Britbox, and have been watching a few episodes every evening.
Tonight James Herriot’s dog was going to have to be put down. He took him for a final walk, and he laid in the grass, and that was it. Seeing him holding him made me cry, and I am not really a dog lover.
The first series was in 1978, and I have fallen in love with it all over again.
It’s classic brilliant Brit TV : )

I have his books. They are wonderfully funny and sad. What a great vet he was.

Susie, we watched the whole series with my precious mama before she passed. She loved it! The stories touched our hearts and made us laugh at times, too. Glad you are enjoying it again. š¾š·š¾

It’s so funny that you should post about the show, because I’m actually re-reading All Creatures Great and Small and All Things Bright and Beautiful right now!
