Seeing fewer masks being worn.

Now that businesses don’t have to state that masks must be worn, I am seeing less masks, which is so worrisome.

My fears are that our numbers will spike, and that it could make more restrictions for the people, like hubby and I, that are doing everything right.

I asked a person politely is they could move so I could social distance, and she looked at me in disgust. Then another in a gym, took up the whole walkway, and again when I asked her to move over, she said that there was plenty of room. I stated not to socially distance.

I am getting concerned now, and I hadn’t been until this last week. If you are reading this, please do your part, as I don’t want to be like other countries that have a full blown pandemic again.

  1. I agree Susie. Anyone who denies the increasing hospitalizations across the country has his or her head in the sand. Ohio set a new record for cases yesterday with nearly 3,600. Hospitals are filling up. Be smart, stay disciplined, think of others, wear a mask, and socially distance.

  2. Mixed messages lead to confrontations. If they remove the mask bylaw, they need to state that physical (social) distancing rules still apply and to be courteous. People see that masks are not needed and ignore the other safety protocols. I am like you and feel comfortable when all are wearing masks indoor. Outdoors, I still give everyone a wide berth, like they have the cooties. Stay well Susie. Allan

  4. I went to Lowe’s yesterday and realized after I went into the store that I was missing my mask. So…. I turned around and went out to get it. By and large, I’m not seeing a lot of unmaksed people out in public up here, which gives me concern since the numbers are spiking.

  5. My side of California is opening indoors gym and dining while the virus is rising. Wearing mask is optional. No one gets fined nor reprimanded by law if people don’t wear them despite of the country’s suffering of sickness, death, unemployment and economic depression. Words don’t work anymore but perhaps a strict law will prevent the winter surge. For now, we are getting there. Doing COVID test today. Wish me luck. Stay safe.

  6. Same here in India as well. It’s as if people have forgotten that anything ever happened. No one cares anymore and it freaks me out.
