We are nowhere near the numbers of the UK and Europe, but Florida numbers are rising. With lockdown in so many countries, I am hoping that people will be sensible.
Just do what is safe for US, and for the people WE come in contact with. It’s not much to ask to stop the spread of Covid.
Do we want LOCKDOWN again? If the answer is NO, then social distance, wear a mask, and don’t be one of the people that causes it to happen. I can tell you how sad England is about the lockdown. Although it is supposed to be for a month, they are thinking that everywhere, including restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, etc. could go on until Chritmas, or even after it. Life in England, and other countries is miserable again.
It isn’t miserable here in France despite lockdown but I can understand why you would want to avoid it.

It’s important for the people to understand their role too. Social distancing, mask and other safety measures should be taken even before the strict measures by the govt are taken, as by the end it’s our and our family lives matter more than the required freedom what people in many countries are protesting for.

Doesn’t it raise questions as to why, when most are wearing masks, that the cases still go up?

Only in supermarkets, and restaurants when seated. Hubby and I are often the only ones wearing them at the gym, and also if we go to a dance with live music. I am dancing in the corner with a mask on. No one else is. So we go when the band starts at 6.30 to 7.30, and leave before most people arrive.

It is in England for most. I watch all the 10 Downing st videos, my daught sends me information several times a day. With the short cold days they don’t want to go out for an hours walk a day. Supermarkets with limited products again.

I don’t know where your daughter lives but I have one sister in London and another in the Midlands. Both have to take extra care because their hubby’s health places them in the vulnerable category. Confinement isn’t fun but with careful planning and preparation it can be okay. Neither sister has reported supermarket shortages and they say that things are much better organised this time around. However I think they’d agree that the Downing St briefings are confusing and depressing.

Here also I can see some people not keeping social distance. This post is a good alert.
