As I have often mentioned, I keep abreast of what is going on in the U.K., and feel so bad that the kids can’t go to the mall, to see the Christmas decorations that have been put up. They can’t go to shops to physically look at the items that they are hoping for this year. Even if the government lift it over Christmas, a lot of the excitement leading up to it will have gone.
Being a senior, Christmas to me is the birth of baby Jesus, and as we have no family close by it doesn’t make a big difference to me.
I know that next year will be different, maybe not back to normal, but with vaccines close to it. Children with disabilities are probably the worst hit, because they want everything as it always has been. I know parents will do the best they can, but my granddaughter with severe learning disabilities, and on the high end of the Autism Spectrum will miss out. She loves Christmas, and everything that goes with it.
It will be Amazon packages, and not Father Christmas/Santa Claus that will be doing the delivering.
