Where have my WordPress emails gone?

I have gmail, and the past couple of days instead of getting around 500 WordPress emails, I have literally had the odd one or two. I have not changed anything in gmail, or notifications, so have no idea what is going on.

I always start out going through notifications, that can vary from 1 hour, to 5 hours, but anything written earlier from my almost 5,000 followers I can’t do a thing about it.

Is anyone else having this problem, and if so what is the best way to get some back? I really don’t want the amount I was getting, but can see that I am missing many of my favorite writers, and I apologize for not keeping up with you.

  1. I had the same problem! Google got hacked and for two days my email was missing. No email notifications from WordPress at all. I just did a post on this last night. It was driving me crazy. I had to use the Reader to catch up but I’m sure I missed a bunch. Today, thankfully, my emails are starting to come back. Don’t change your settings or rebooting your devices. It won’t matter. Just hang in there and hopefully it won’t be too long until it fixed itself like mine did, but I feel your pain Susie! Stay warm!!πŸŽ„β›„β˜•πŸŽ…πŸ’œ

  2. I think WP is having problems this morning, Susie. I kept getting an error message pop up saying there was a system error when I tried to like or comment anything. Weird because I was able to post this morning with no problems. I finally Googled Word Press, signed in and so far so good.

  3. Weird! i know that Google had the outage but that should be fixed by now. I am still getting lots of WordPress emails. I would get in touch with them via ‘help’ and ask them what is going on.
