For at least 6 years we have stayed home to see in the New Year. Prior to that, we would just go out for a couple of hours, and be home around 9 p.m. Hubby doesn’t drink, and as I drive, I will only have one drink, so no fun going somewhere that the drinks are flowing.
Covid won’t affect us at all, because being home is our normal. For my younger followers, if you are in an area where bars are open, like us, will you go, or are you planning a different New Year’s Eve, this year.

We’ll be spending New Year’s Eve at home (nothing is open), just the two of us with oysters and champagne. Nothing new here!

Sheree,
Aren’t you in France? That by itself is a wonderful place to be.

staying home, which is nothing new here. Bars and restaurants are closed or limited capacity, so that’s no fun. I honestly haven’t paid much attention lately, shame on me.
Safer, and cheaper, all the way around to just stay home!

We haven’t been out in years, usually we are watching grandchildren but I haven’t been asked this year everyone staying home

Really appreciate the nomination. However I did these around 4 years ago, when I only had a few followers. Now with around 4,500 it’s impossible to keep up.

It may surpise you but our bars and restaurants and even cafes are closed as they need vacation. All will open again on the fourth.

I am staying home with my pup and will have a nice, mellow evening.

Nope! Last several years I’ve been going to a fun gathering with friends where we have a potluck and play games. This year? Home with roomie & cats. Not so bad though. Stay safe! 🥳

We’re in Tier 4 as of midnight so no one’s going anywhere! If my husband was still alive, he would be quite happy, he liked staying home on New Year’s Eve, even though he was Scottish. Sometimes we went round to friends’ houses for a little gathering.

We also have a quiet New Year’s Eve planned at home.

Staying home. Too cold to watch fireworks tonight. Funny thing is in a six block radius, my neighbors do a much better display than the city does.
