The tree I planted one street over.

We lived in a townhouse on the next street for 21 years, and it had a bottlebrush/red hot pepper tree in the front garden. 3 hurricanes in one season took it out. The condo association wanted to put a similar tree to others there, but hubby and I went to the nursery, and picked up this tree. Boy has it grown over those years.

It was my beautiful tree, but still remains part of our community.

I went for a walk around our development, as the gym is so limited to me now, and it was in full bloom. I am sad that it’s not my tree anymore, but I can admire it any day that I choose to.
