What a great time my girlfriend and I had. We had planned on going to Ruby Tuesdays, as today was a B.O.G.O.F. for customers that have joined their club. We were both going to have the Salad bar, and take our meals home. The parking lot at 3.30 was almost empty, and we thought we had planned it perfectly.
We went in, only to be told that due to lack of staffing, they were only doing ‘to go’. We looked at each other in disbelief. I said apart from recent weeks, my late husband and I are regulars here, and how disappointing to be turned away.
Next choice, Chilis. We got there, and I saw Jen, the server that remembers everyone, and their orders. I was so happy to see her, and got a hug. She said that she cleaning her station, as it was the end of her shift.
We did have a good server, and Brenda loved all the food. She ended up bringing most of her dinner home, and I brought my fajitas back with me. We both ate our large side salad, a few chips and salsa, and a tiny bit of the entrée. We split the most delicious double size piece of creamy cheesecake with a raspberry drizzle.
I suggested we do this at least once a month, or sooner.
That’s very true Susie and I’m glad you had an enjoyable lunch together
