After roll call the new President had a minutes silence for the troops, and also for Len that had passed away, and his 22 years of service in the Royal Air Force. The tears welled up at that point.
The Vice President’s wife was there, and a gentleman walked through, and told us what a great job we were doing.
I managed to get through the meeting, with the odd tear running down my cheer, but feel that I kept my chin up, so to speak. Now that one is over, I will be looking forward to future meetings.
