The photo above doesn’t have 2 more big boxes, and also the prescription sealed kidney failure medication. I must have anywhere from $1,500 to $1,800’s of medical supplies that didn’t get used.
I went to my local Walgreens today, and asked how I could donate sealed, and unused medical supplies. Also 10 sealed bottles of insulin, that are in the fridge. The pharmacy staff said that one of their stores would dispose of them. That wasn’t what I wanted. I was after a clinic, or somewhere that would be able to use them.
I know the Manager really well, and she looked at the bags I had, and asked me is everything was okay. I told her what I wanted to do, and she told me of a local charity where low income people go for items like these. She gave me the details, and the lady to ask for. I said that I would go on Monday, as I would have to get the insulin out of the fridge, and I have even more supplies at home. She was very happy, and called the lady to tell her that I would be coming.
I think I will make their day.
