Doctor’s offices drive me nuts.

I wrote about my experience with the doctor’s office last week trying to get results. I had a follow up appointment for today at 1 p.m. This was to see how my shoulder was doing after the X-ray, MRI, and P.T. Also a women’s check up, and an EKG.

I saw on my phone that there was a missed call from the doctor at 8 a.m. this morning. I have silent mode from midnight to 8 a.m. Then at 9 I had a call, asking if I could come at 11 a.m. this morning. I said ‘Sure’, so after washing my hair, I dressed in regular clothes, and not my gym ones.

Now at 10 a.m. I received another phone call, this time saying that I have a 1 p.m. appointment with the doctor, and disregard the 11 a.m. one, and come at 1.

The 9 a.m. conversation was that the doctor was leaving at lunchtime, which is noon, so I asked will she be staying at the office for this appointment. The answer came back that she would.

  1. It’s chaos right now. I had an appointment, and failed the covid protocol because of a headache and was canceled. Then, the next morning they called and wondered if I was still keeping my appointment. Uggh.

  2. Today I had a very frustrating day waiting from 11 am to 5pm for a vet to come and see my horse. The vet was supposed to come at 12. My horse was not critically ill I just wanted a vet to see a bump on his leg that was not bothering him but it bothered me. I hope you got your appointment and some results.

  3. Susie you are awesome, however you should have acknowledge that you will adjust this one time for the changes but your time is valuable also. Not being rude just letting them know you are not sitting around waiting to adjust your time and it will not be a habit should it occur again they can remove your name from the straw draw card.
