The butcher phoned me as promised 2 days after my order of 5 lbs. of English bangers. They are huge. Each one is the equivalent to 3 of the ones you buy in England. I have a total of 17, and they work out at $1.60 each.
Last Friday when my girlfriend and I went to Fitzgerald’s Irish Tavern, I ordered the bangers and mash. They were regular size ones, the taste was good, but the outside skin was a little tough. I paid half of the price there, for the over 5 lb. of bangers freshly made for me.
I will be cooking one tomorrow for my meal, and will certainly let you know what they taste like. I am so excited about getting fresh ones, because everyone I have had in restaurants, were previously frozen.
Can’t wait to hear how they turn out!!
