So many of my friends have husbands that love to cook. Not the case for me. Len didn’t even know how to make a cup of coffee. So breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an 8 p.m. snack were down to me.
Now I can choose between English, and American cereals. I still love Weetabix, and can get it at any of the Publix stores.
Lunchtime either smoked salmon, and cream cheese on a croissant, a protein shake, or sharp Cheddar cheese and Branston pickle on whole wheat bread.
For dinner the last 2 days I made a huge salad (half each day) an English banger made by an American butcher, smothered in sautéed onions added to a rich OXO/beef gravy. The sausage is 3 times the size of an English banger. Having the salad I don’t need the mash, or vegetables with it.
My fridge and freezer no longer have burgers, hotdogs, meatloaf, bologna, and all the yuck food that Len liked.
I have salmon, cod, large shrimp, a Publix deli chicken flaky pastry pie, a pub style steak and vegetable pudding, English sausages, and all the good quality food that I love.
I didn’t mind what I spent on food, but Len liked so much that I wouldn’t entertain in my mouth.
Now for the last quarter of the individual Chocolate Lava cake. Good food in small quantities is what I love to eat.
Don’t we all Susie!

Yum! You’re making my mouth water. Sounds like you’re choosing healthy foods for yourself. Especially the chocolate cake! LOL! 😉
