When I contacted my preferred provider for eye care, there was a 4 month wait for an appointment, which would have been October. My insurance allowed me to go to any of the optical outlets available in my area. The outcome, I have cataracts. So I got a referral to the original eye care provider, and got an appointment for an evaluation.
Of course, I had to wait until October, my original date. So I know it’s going to be a minimum of two and a half hours for any appointment there. Oh how I hate their office. Len had both his cataracts done at this provider, and the outcome was great, but I hate being at a cattle market. I mustn’t forget to take coffee, and a snack to keep me going, while waiting to go into 3 different rooms.

But if yours goes as good as mine did, it will be worth it. Take care. I just had mine done (right eye) a few months ago.

Len’s eyes were amazing afterwards.

HMO’s often don’t want to do them unless you are almost blind.

Here’s hoping there’s not such a long wait. But, it’ll be worth it when you have great vision!
