Another sunset photo.

Church was difficult. During the service the Minister asked anyone with birthdays or anniversaries to come to the alter. Len’s name wasn’t on the bulletin, but mine was. So I went up with 3 other people.

When it got to me I had to tell them of Len’s passing, most knew, and that it would have been his birthday yesterday, and our anniversary tomorrow. The Minister prayed for us.

When it came to communion, we go up and get the bread in an individual packet, and the Minister again prayed with me. We went to the side where there was a drop of red wine, and the words ‘The blood of Christ, the cup of salvation will be said.

After the service they have gone to having coffee in take out cups, and a cookie in a bag. Many came up to me, including the Minister again.

I then went to Cody’s Roadhouse Grill, where the servers know me, and give me lots of all you can eat salad, yeast rolls, I bring most of my dinner home, and also a slice of cheesecake with chocolate, and raspberry drizzle. They always get a 40 – 50% tip, as I really appreciate them making it barrable for me.

When I got back to the timeshare I was so exhausted again. I laid down on the bed for a good part of the afternoon, but couldn’t sleep.

I did manage to walk to John’s pass and back, before eating a little of my dinner. I really dragged my feet. Then at 6 p.m. I went down to see the sunset, and again did a short walk.

I prayed that I would sleep tonight, because I know that stress, and anxiety cause these symptoms. I don’t think I could deal with a third night of barely sleeping.

The sunset was pretty as usual.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble sleeping. I had trouble when I was going through chemo and I found that if I took Melatonin before bed, I could usually fall asleep and sleep through the night. It’s a natural sleep aid and it is non-addictive. I hope you’re doing better and you are in my prayers. I’m sending peace and prayers your way. ❤

  2. Bonjour

  3. Oh my. I wasn’t aware of that. Is that why you’re having trouble sleeping or are you on heavy duty drugs to get some sleep? Either way I hope you get back to a regular sleep cycle soon.

  4. The last year of Len’s life my doctor told me after that my BMI was malnutrition. She wanted me to cope as I refused to put him in a home. Tranquilizer, panic attack, anxiety, sleep and depression pills. I am out of the malnutrition range now.
