It doesn’t matter what store I go in, Christmas items are showing up. Halloween was dismal as I stayed in, didn’t eat any chocolate, and no one came to the door. Today there was candy in the gym, every other year it’s been the week before, or at least on the day. I suppose it was left over from giving candy out. Len never enjoyed Halloween so we really didn’t do anything anyway. It was just strange being here by myself.
I will see what the rest of the holidays will be like for me.

When my own children grew up, Halloween slowly became a thing of the past. The day after Halloween, the stores and TV commercials flipped on the “Open for Christmas” light.
