I watched with my older son staying with me, part of me wanted San Merino to at least score if not win! My late husband loved football, my grandson loves football and he and his dad have season tickets for their local club. My son-in-law is also a lifelong follower. Strangely I didn’t realise till younger son started living with me this year that like me and my daughter he has never been interested in football at all!
Poor San Marino. It’s really not a fair fight for them. The best thing the Sanmarinse (I think that’s how you say it) players can say is that they can tell their grandkids that they played against all these legends!!!
