Black Friday came, and went, and I didn’t buy anything. Today I checked my email, and there are pages of Cyber Monday deals. I plan on deleting them all, because this year Christmas isn’t a good time for me.
I will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, which is the true meaning of the holiday, but there will be no other celebrating. I have sent cards to my daughter, and to my two granddaughters, but that is it. I am not sending to anyone else, because this year I won’t be getting up, turning over, and saying Merry Christmas to anyone.
I know next year will be different.
No point in buying anything you don’t want or need just because it’s reduced. You know, Christmas might not be too bad. Look how Thanksgiving turned out?
