Can you believe that I only went on the Nextdoor site on Friday and suggested a luncheon to get to make new friends. I got responses almost immediately, and initially 6 wanted to come, but we ended up with 3, which was great. We really got to know each other, good food, and lots of laughter. We all needed that.
From there I went to Panera Bread to meet a gentleman from a dating app. I placed my order and insisted that I pay for mine as he said that he would take care of it. I only had the broccoli cheese soup and ate it really slowly. He commented on it, and I said that it was really hot. I had ordered the small senior ham and cheese omelet at IHOP as I hadn’t had a time confirmation for the second meal. He was really nice and made me feel very comfortable. I did finish the soup but not the bread.
I took photos of our little group lunch, and put it on the Nextdoor app, so I am sure that we will get a bigger group next time. My date gentleman, that wasn’t a date, just lunch and I hit it off. I told him that as he put down, he loves to dance, he may like to come to the Eagles with me. To my surprise he is a member of the same club that Len and I belonged to. I thought he might have known Len as he was President, Chaplin, and Trustee for around 10-12 years.
Lonely days, and today I was out at 10 a.m. for Zumba at the gym, and got home around 4 p.m. All I can say is ‘Wow’.
So happy for you❤️
