As WordPress is worldwide it is New Year’s Eve already in many countries. So, a big Healthy, Happy New Year to everyone.
Today ended up with me getting so engrossed in a phone call to Spectrum that lasted an hour and a quarter, speaking to 4 different departments. Then getting a text from my friend Brenda, checking to see if I was okay. The penny clicked, it was 6.11, and I was supposed to be meeting her at the Eagles at 6 p.m.
I texted back saying that I wanted to come but hadn’t done anything to get myself ready, because I had been on with Spectrum and lost track of time. I told her it would probably be 7 before I could make it. She sent me back sad emojis and typed ‘I’m sad’.
How could I not go? I changed into nice clothes, went in the bathroom and touched up my makeup, perfume, and then my hair? I bent over so my hair went down, sprayed really well with dry shampoo. Rubbed it through my hair, and combed it, and it looked great. Grabbed my heels, and evening bag, and was out the door in ten minutes. I got there at 6.40, and she gave me the biggest hug. Girlfriends are so special.
