As I am boxing with Ryan, my trainer at Load More Plate this afternoon, I have just made my protein shake.
I start off with fat free milk, chocolate whey protein powder, collagen protein powder, fresh cranberries, half a banana, and pecan nuts. The cranberries are tart, so the 2 grams of sugar in the whey powder make it semi-sweet.
This shake will get me through my boxing training without getting a sugar low, which has happened in the past.
I have some leftover cranberry relish – never thought of putting it in a smoothie but will give it a try
