Next month it will be a year since Len passed away

and my life is starting to come together. I have made new friends that love to dance so will be having fun at least 2 – 3 nights a week. With the womens empowering group, and girlfriends meeting together, I am going to dinner at Olive Garden tomorrow, and there will be between 20 and 25 of us.

Yes, my life is turning around, and my loneliest time was always in the evenings. I now have so much to look forward to.

  1. Goodness, I thought it was just a couple of month ago. Time surely flies. The first year of “first’s” will soon be over. The first b-day without Len, the first xmas, so many firsts. I have been told it gets better after the first year -but don’t ever want to find out if it’s true.

  2. I had no idea it’s been a year already, Susie. I can agree with all the firsts, the first year is always the hardest. You’re doing what Len would want you to do, taking care of yourself, making new friends, and getting your happy back. Know that we all support you! 💖🦋🕊

  3. Absolutely! WordPress is awesome because the vast majority of the bloggers here are awesome people. You don’t have near the fakery here like you do on other social media platforms like FB and Twitter. The people here are for real! They’re the realest most down to earth people on thr internet and I love that!

  4. Thank you for sharing!!.. Len may have left this mortal world but no doubt he is happily watching you as you move on and enjoy life!!!… as the saying goes “the heart does go on”… and I hope you have many days of happiness as you venture down your path of life with friends!.. 🙂

    Until we meet again…
May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
