The dating game!

I figured it’s been a while since I updated you about what’s going on in my life.

I have texted a few, and nothing has become of it. I had two, out of state, that wanted to spend a weekend with me, and it was ‘No way Jose’

I had another one that lived 50 miles south of me, and kept texting me, but kept ignoring it when I suggested a busy restaurant halfway. The light bulb went off when he texted that he has financially secure and wanted to know if I was. Again, I suggested we meet, and he asked if I liked flowers. I am thinking he is going to bring me some on the day. No, he wanted my address to send them to, and was too busy to meet me. I blocked him as I realized he was a scammer, not wanting to meet up, and wanting lots of details about me. That’s not going to happen.

I do have one guy that is fairly local, and we have had coffee at Panera, but don’t think it’s going any further than that.

I have a lunch date on Wednesday with a guy that is about 60 miles north of me. He is happy to drive 50 miles, to meet up with me, only 10 for me. Now, that sounds a guy that is interested. It is a really busy restaurant/bar, because they are the only ones that I feel comfortable on a first date.

So, there you have it. I have now joined 3 free sites, and only one has paid off. The other 2 are useless if you are not willing to shell out $35 for one month, or around $100 for 6 months.

  2. It’s going to be a year at the end of the month since Len passed, and it can get lonely. I don’t want to get married, or live with anyone. I love girlfriends but would enjoy a nice gentleman’s company.

  7. I feel ya. Though, I do get some kind of enjoyment leading scammers on as long as I can. My record was three months.

    Good luck to you. You can never be too careful in today’s dating world. I have yet to have any free sites work out in terms of potential prospects. One ghosted me shortly after the first date and the other wants children someday…and my diaper-changing days are long over. lol

  22. Good lick Susie and be careful. I am currently going through this dating scene myself and at times it seems like slim pickings out there. There are scammers ready to take advantage of a person and leave you emotionally distraught.
