Since being in England we have all been looking forward to tonight’s party. My youngest granddaughter who has autism, and severe learning disabilities was going to play alternative music on the synthesizer. Show her videos, and do light dancing.
It was to be in a hall at an Irish pub, where previous ones have taken place, and been most enjoyable.
We only heard that due to staffing shortages, it had been canceled this morning. The autistic pupils of the college have to process this, which isn’t easy for them. My granddaughter is sad that I won’t see her perform, but I am concerned about how it will affect her.
I have told her that she can choose whatever she wants to do, and it’s my treat.
You are a wise and loving grandmother. Have a wonderful visit there!

So sorry to hear that. Hugs and kisses coming across the pond from us to you and your granddaughter.

Such a shame for all the pupils. Perhaps you could have a family only performance.

Too upset. Her autism means she can’t process her emotions like we do.

Her autism won’t let her process it. She has been struggling since.
