I’m lad to believe British chocolate is nicer than the American version, I did have a Hershey bar once and wasn’t greatly impressed and wondered why the women in WW2 were so impressed with the GI’s chocolate.
Agree. I grew up with Fruit and Nut, which became my favorite. Hard to find in North Georgia. Then all of a sudden it appeared in abundance, and on the regular chocolate shelves, with different wrapping. Tasted odd. I discovered it was made by Hershey’s. Harrumph!
I like Cadbury but Dove chocolate is my favorite

I only like English Cadbury. Hate the Hershey ones.

I find both far too sweet and full of sugar

Hate Hershey. I have enough of the real stuff for a year 🍫

Probably because they couldn’t get any at the time. The chocolate is to die for.

I eat healthy when not on vacation, and limit my intake at home. 2 squares of dark chocolate per day.

In America I eat Aldi German chocolate.

It wasn’t a criticism of your eating habits Susie, rather a comment on US and UK chocolate

We always had a box of Quality Street in England at Christmas. Great choice of different chocolates 🍫
