I had both my eyes done earlier this year, and I was in the surgical center for 5 hours. My friend had his done, and when I left him, I was told 2 – 2 and a half hours.
I went to the gym and was boxing when I got the call an hour later, to pick him up. He didn’t have a patch over the eye, or a plastic shield for nighttime. Apart from resting today, and starting the drops again tonight, tomorrow he can drive and return to a normal routine.
Has it changed that much since mine in February, and March of this year. Blows my mind.

That’s fast recovery!

Too fast. He didn’t even have food and drink before they released him.

I was told it was highly individual.

This was like a conveyor belt. No food or drink before releasing after an anesthetic.

My father, may he rest in peace, also had his done in under two hours, even though I had been told to come back for him in five. And no food and drink either.

It depends on the surgeon and their employees.

Yes, have heard a horror story here, but most are positive.

The result was good, and that’s what counts, I thin.
