Not a seat or parking spot available at our Eagles club.

Fridays are always busy, but now all the ‘snowbirds’ are down from Canada, and the north of America, our timetable has to change with them.

We have to allow extra time when driving, in traffic, restaurants, shops, bars, clubs etc. On a Friday night as long as one couple arrived at 5.30 we had a table for the night. Now, it’s more like 4.30 – 5.00 p.m., and if any at the table are late, everyone tries to take the chairs, or ask if they can sit with us.

Yes, snowbirds are good for the Florida economy, but frustrating for the people that live here all round.

  1. We would do the same things when they would come down to Arizona. You get the snowbirds from one side of Canada and Arizona gets the western side!😂😂Im so glad we live in North Carolina now!💜💜

  2. It really does look like a full house there. We experience that same kind of situation in Hawai’i when the tourists come to visit. I’m glad that we live further out and can avoid the crowds most of the time.

  3. Looks like a good place to go. I guess that’s why it gets busy. I think tourism can be a necessary evil for the economy but can also be annoying if it makes life less accessible for the locals 🙂
