I hate change but seeing that we all have to changeover from WordPress to jetpack by the 8th March, I finally did it.
I couldn’t remember my WordPress password, so wasn’t as easy as I had hoped for.

Was there an email about this change?

It came up on my WordPress app.

My unscientific observation is the JetPack may be the cause of many WP problems, so it would make sense that it become mandated to use.

I am not sure what this is or even how to change.

When you click to go to notifications it asks you if you want jetpack. Hope this helps you 😊

Do they do it automatically or do you have to say yes?

You have to click on it and download it unfortunately

Is JetPack only for those who blog on their phone? I use my computer only to blog–no phone–and don’t use JetPack. I didn’t know about the March 8 deadline.

Mine came up on my phone so yes, that could be the answer.

I did it today too. I was worried it would be weird, but the only thing I noticed is the change from blue to green.

I hadn’t heard about this, but I only blog on my computer. If that doesn’t work anymore, I may just be done blogging.

Ugh, I’ve still not done it. Freedom of choice would be great here. I’d love to not need to mess with another responsibility for a while.

From the comments I have received it looks like the phone app only.

I only received the email today. Started using the app, then it got all glitchy this afternoon. So I reverted back the Web version for a while.
I do agree, it’s nice to see the prompts back.

I changed over. We’ll get used to it, I think 🙂

Happy Blogging Anniversary, 6 years is a pretty long time and don’t be afraid to switch to the Jetpack app since most blog posts are powered by Jetpack💯

My blog is just way too big, that’s why I have started a second one to have my actual followers only.

Susie, thanks for sharing. I pretty much do my blog posts on my PC and read blogs from my tablet. I’ve seen the Jetpack icon milling around so I’ll investigate more.

I share Your sentiments and switched over a couple weeks ago because My phone was (continuously) prompting Me to do. I was somewhat relieved to hear I’m not the only one who forgets their WordPress password – OMG that can be a nightmare on its own!!!

Susie: I sure didn’t see the notice. What happens if you don’t change on the 8th? It’s the 11th now and I am still using it I guess.

We realized it’s on phones that you have to change 😊

I changed over to Jetpack and it went well…..then deleted my WordPress site as Jetpack told me to. Jetpack then started deleting my site bit by bit! Got my WordPress site back now by emailing WordPress.
I sent a message to Jetpack saying what happened and got a long email saying everything was good and my site was working onJp. which it obviously wasn’t.

Changed over to Jetpack and it dumped my whole site as soon as I deleted my original WordPress site.. on phone and iPad.

I didn’t delete anything, just go in on the Jetpack app.

Last night I had to make the adjustment as well; it seemed strange because I assumed Jetpack was only for website integrations, but it appears that was not the case. It also advised me to remove the WordPress Program, which I did. I’d say it’s a good shift.

We don’t like change even if it’s for the good.
